Job Summary
Oversee livestock and agribusiness programs to improve animal production, community livelihoods, and income generation. Development Manager open role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement livestock projects (goats, cattle, poultry, etc.) and agribusiness activities.
- Ensure animal health, feeding, breeding, and housing standards.
- Promote best practices in livestock management and production.
- Develop sustainable livestock business models and strengthen market linkages.
- Supervise staff and build capacity of beneficiaries in livestock management.
- Monitor project performance, maintain records, and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with DirectAid policies and animal welfare standards.
- Collaborate with local authorities, veterinary services, and partners.
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in livestock management or agribusiness programs.
- NGO or development sector experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, project management, and reporting skills.
