Job Description

Job Title: Restaurant Waiter / Waitress

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide friendly, efficient, and professional food and beverage service to customers while ensuring a positive dining experience and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

● Welcome and courteously attend to customers upon arrival.

● Present menus and explain available food and beverage options where necessary.

● Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.

● Ensure orders are accurate and meet customer requirements.

● Follow up with customers during their meals to ensure satisfaction.

● Respond professionally to customer questions, requests, and complaints.

● Clear and reset tables efficiently.

● Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tables, service areas, and dining spaces

● Coordinate with kitchen, bar, cashier, and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service.

● Assist with opening and closing duties, including preparation and cleaning of the restaurant.

Qualifications & Experience:

● Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.

● Certificate or training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field is an advantage.

● Excellent customer service and communication skills.

● Friendly, courteous, and professional attitude.

● Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

● Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts.
