Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospitality establishment, ensuring efficient service delivery, high guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The role will coordinate different departments, supervise staff, manage resources, monitor performance, and identify opportunities to improve overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel, restaurant, lodge, or hospitality facility.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and other operational teams.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of guest service and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently and consistently.
  • Supervise, coach, and support departmental heads and operational staff.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing based on business needs.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity.
  • Handle guest complaints and operational issues professionally and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor operational costs, budgets, stock usage, and wastage to improve profitability.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Stores teams to ensure availability and proper control of operational supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and hospitality standards.
  • Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, presentation, and overall condition of the facility.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor service quality through regular inspections and customer feedback.
  • Analyze operational reports and key performance indicators and provide recommendations to management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and other external stakeholders where required.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of operational staff.
  • Ensure all departments maintain accurate operational records and reports.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3 + years of experience in hospitality operations, with at least experience in supervisory or management position.
  • Proven experience managing hospitality teams and multiple operational departments.
  •  knowledge of hotel, restaurant, lodge, or hospitality operations.
  • Experience in guest relations and service quality management.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and operational reporting.
