Role Overview

The Marketing Officer will spearhead strategic marketing initiatives to promote car sales and strengthen the company’s presence in the automotive market. This role combines digital marketing expertise, brand promotion, and a sales driven mindset to attract and retain customers. The ideal candidate should understand the automotive sector, be results oriented, and excel in both online and offline marketing tactics to boost vehicle sales and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automotive Marketing Campaigns – Design and implement marketing strategies specifically tailored to car sales, including promotions for new arrivals, trade-ins, and financing offers. Leverage digital and traditional channels to drive traffic and inquiries.
  • Field Marketing & Customer Engagement – Conduct on-site visits to high-traffic areas, corporate offices, and potential partners to promote the brand and build customer relationships. Organize and attend car exhibitions, test drive events, and community marketing activities.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion – Manage digital ads and social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads) to generate qualified leads. Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into purchases.
  • Content Creation & Vehicle Listings – Create compelling content for car listings, video walkarounds, and testimonials. Ensure detailed, accurate, and attractive descriptions on online marketplaces and the company website.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis – Analyze the automotive market, track competitor pricing and promotions, and identify trends in customer preferences to inform marketing strategies.
  • Event & Brand Promotion – Organize car exhibitions, showroom events, and test drive campaigns to enhance brand exposure and customer interaction.
  • Analytics & Reporting – Use tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to track campaign effectiveness, web traffic, and lead performance. Provide insights and recommendations to improve ROI.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (mandatory).

Languages

  • Proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda (required). Additional language skills are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in automotive sales or consumer goods.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of car dealership marketing and buyer behavior.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Canva, CRM tools).
  • Excellent content writing, visual branding, and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and project coordination abilities.

Certifications (Optional)

  • Certifications in Digital Marketing (Google, HubSpot, Meta) are an added advantage.
