MTN Rwanda

MTN Rwanda is a leading telecommunications company in Rwanda, offering a range of mobile and digital communication services. It is part of the MTN Group, a multinational telecommunications company with operations across Africa and the Middle East.

MTN Rwanda was established in 1998 to provide mobile voice and data services to the Rwandan population. Over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include mobile money services through MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), fostering financial inclusion across the country.

In 2010, MTN Rwanda introduced its first 3G network, followed by 4G in collaboration with government initiatives in 2014, further revolutionizing connectivity in Rwanda. As of 2021, MTN Rwanda became the first telecommunications company to be listed on the Rwanda Stock Exchange under the ticker MTNR.
