Job Summary
The Associate will support the delivery of audit, tax, and advisory engagements by executing assigned tasks in line with approved work plans, methodologies, and professional standards. The role provides structured exposure across professional services, enabling the Associate to develop strong technical, analytical, and client service skills while contributing to high-quality deliverables for client engagements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute assigned components of audit, tax, and advisory engagements in accordance with firm methodologies, professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support engagement planning, risk assessment, and the understanding of client business processes, internal controls, and operating environments.
- Prepare accurate and well-structured working papers, analyses, schedules, and documentation that support engagement conclusions.
- Perform testing, analysis, and evaluations of financial, tax, operational, and control information under appropriate supervision.
- Draft reports, financial statements, management letters, tax analyses, and advisory deliverables with clear observations and practical recommendations.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the relevant tax system and understand sector-specific considerations.
- Apply professional judgment and maintain professional skepticism when identifying issues, risks, or inconsistencies.
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks and engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to professional standards.
Job Competencies (Qualifications, Experience and Attributes / Skills).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, or a related course) from a recognized institution.
- A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or any other related qualification is mandatory.
- 2–3 years’ work experience in an audit firm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to apply professional scepticism and sound judgment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities within multidisciplinary teams.
- High ethical standards, integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning, adaptability, and professional growth.
