Job Summary
The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring and controlling hotel costs, ensuring accurate inventory management, and providing detailed financial and consumption reports to support management decision-making. This role involves overseeing stock movements, reconciling variances, and working closely with kitchen and store teams to maintain transparency and efficiency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has strong knowledge of cost control and inventory systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and control daily stock movements across departments.
- Accurately record receiving, issuing, and transferring of items.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Prepare accurate consumption, variance, and cost reports for management.
- Collaborate with kitchen, store, and procurement teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist in budget preparation and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with stock procedures and financial policies.
- Maintain transparency in all cost and inventory reporting processes.
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Additional certifications in cost control or inventory management are an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cost control, inventory management, or related roles (hospitality preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems, stock procedures, and cost analysis.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
