HR Executive in Tanzania

Job Description

Job Summary

The HR Executive supports the day-to-day human resources operations of the organization, ensuring smooth execution of HR processes across recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, and performance management. This role is hands-on and operational, with a strong focus on supporting employees and line managers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and offer documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth employee joining experience
  • Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR files (physical and digital)
  • Support payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and leave management
  • Administer HR letters (contracts, confirmations, promotions, transfers, exits)
  • Ensure timely updates to HR systems and trackers

Employee Relations

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
  • Assist in handling disciplinary processes in line with company policy
  • Promote a positive and compliant workplace culture

Performance & Development

  • Support performance appraisal cycles and documentation
  • Track training needs and assist with coordination of learning programs
  • Maintain training records and reports

Compliance & Policy

  • Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and internal policies
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures

Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR or administrative role
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and employment practices
  • Experience supporting recruitment and HR administration processes
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems
