Job Description

Direct Aid is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization established in Kuwait in 1981 and operating in more than 30 countries across Africa. The organization works to alleviate poverty, disease, and illiteracy, with a strong focus on food security, education, health, and social development. Tender Announcement.

Direct Aid – Rwanda Office intends to purchase and distribute food items to vulnerable populations in Rwanda. The organization hereby invites eligible, experienced, and qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the General Terms and Conditions of Purchase outlined below.

Quantities indicated above may increase or decrease depending on market prices and budget availability.

2. PRICING

  • Bidders must quote the unit price per kilogram or per liter for each item.
  • Prices shall be inclusive of all costs, including packaging, transportation to Direct-aid Store at Nyamirambo, and Offloading.
  • All prices should be in Rwandan Francs
  • All food items should have minimum expiry period of not less than one and half years

3. PACKAGING

  • Direct Aid will provide packaging bags bearing the Direct Aid logo.
  • The supplier shall be fully responsible for proper packing and handling of all food items.

4. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Interested bidders must submit the following mandatory documents. Failure to submit any of the documents listed below shall result in automatic disqualification:

  • Valid Business License
  • VAT Registration Certificate
  • Tax Clearance Certificate for the most recent tax period
  • Company Profile clearly indicates:
    • Company address and official contact details
    • Organizational and management structure
  • Proof of Relevant Experience, including:
    • Demonstrated experience supplying non-profit, humanitarian, or international organizations.
    • Successful completion of at least three (3) similar contracts within the last five (5) years.
    • Documentary evidence in the form of signed contracts, purchase orders, delivery certificates, or reference letters from previous clients.

5. BID SUBMISSION

  • Submission Deadline: 09th February 2026 at 04:00 PM
  • Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and deposited in the locked tender box located at:
    Direct Aid Rwanda Head Office, Kiyovu, KN 16/13

6. BID OPENING

  • Bids will be open on 10th February 2026 at 11:00 AM
  • Interested bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to attend.

NOTE: Direct aid reserves the right to contract separate suppliers for every item.
