Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Job Purpose
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for managing the company’s human resources functions, ensuring effective recruitment, employee development, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with labour laws and company policies. The role supports management in building a productive, motivated, and professional workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with company objectives and labour laws.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job descriptions, interviews, onboarding, and employee placement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
- Prepare employment contracts, job offers, confirmation letters, disciplinary letters, and other HR documents.
- Manage employee attendance, leave, working hours, and related records.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal and performance management processes.
- Identify employee training and development needs and coordinate appropriate training programs.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts professionally.
- Advise management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
- Ensure compliance with Rwanda labour laws and other applicable employment regulations.
- Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information, attendance, leave, and other relevant data.
- Develop and monitor employee welfare and engagement initiatives.
- Assist in workforce planning and succession planning.
- Monitor employee turnover and recommend strategies to improve employee retention.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and productive workplace culture.
- Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and workplace policies.
- Prepare regular HR reports and provide management with relevant HR data and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a corporate, real estate, investment, or related organization.
- Good knowledge of Rwanda labour laws and HR best practices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
