About the Role
The Country Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the company’s local activities, with a focus on sales performance, market development, distribution follow-up, team management, and operational efficiency. He/she acts as the link between the local team, distribution partners, and management, ensuring effective execution, clear reporting, continuous product availability, and sustainablelong-term business growth. He/she must always act according to the procedures and GDPguidelines.
Activities and Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
- Launch coordination: To support the successful launch of new products in the market.
- Sales Performance: To support the achievement of sales targets through effective planning, follow up and execution of sales and marketing activities.
- Team supervision: To supervise, guide and support the sales team in their daily activities and commercial performance.
- Marketing management: to develop, implement, and manage marketing activitiesand budgets in line with business objectives.
- Sales training: To follow up on the learning progress, field performance, and development needs of the sales representatives.
- Strategic planning: To develop well-considered sales and marketing strategies basedon clear target markets, customer needs, product positioning, competitive dynamics, and long-term business objectives.
- Performance reporting: To track, analyse, and report on sales and marketing activities and their measurable outcomes, using these insights to critically evaluateperformance and improve future actions.
- Insurance listings: To support the inclusion of company products on insurance andreimbursement lists.
- Market intelligence: To gather, report, and translate market information obtainedthrough interactions with partners, distributors, prescribers, pharmacies, and the sales team into concrete sales and marketing actions
- Sales missions: To conduct and report on sales missions, including key findings, opportunities, challenges, and recommended follow-up actions.
- Customer engagement: To organize and perform RFCs in support of sales growth, brand development, prescriber engagement, and market development
- Sales & stock analysis: To analyse and report on sales and stock data, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and take appropriate action where needed.
- Partner management: To identify and assess potential partners, establish suitablepartnerships, and actively manage these relationships to maximize their business value.
- Promotional materials: To identify promotional material needs, manage stock levels, and ensure the effective and efficient use of available materials.
- Opportunity development: To identify and develop business opportunities, assessthe most effective commercial approach, and build sustainable long-term market presence and growth.
- Forecast support: To proactively provide management with timely and relevant market, sales, partner, and stock insights to improve forecast accuracy, optimizestockmanagement, and ensure continuous product availability.
Distribution
- Order planning: To negotiate orders and quantities with distribution partners to ensurecontinuous product availability and avoid stock-outs, overstocking, and expiries.
- Stock monitoring: To monitor distributor stock levels, stock rotation, and expiry dates, and follow up where corrective action is needed.
- Replenishment follow-up: To coordinate replenishment needs with distribution partners based on stock levels, sales evolution, and forecasted demand.
- Operational coordination: To follow up on order status, delivery timing, stock discrepancies, blocked stock, and other distribution-related operational issues.
- Distribution reporting: To obtain, review, and report distributor stock and availability data to support internal supply planning and inventory management.
Human Resource
- Team management: To manage, guide, and support the local team in their daily responsibilities, performance, and collaboration.
- Performance & development: To follow up on individual performance, identify areasfor improvement, and support coaching, training, and professional development.
- Field supervision: To accompany and evaluate sales representatives in the fieldtoensure quality of medical representation and alignment with company standards.
- Recruitment & onboarding: To coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of newteam members, in close alignment with management.
- Team liaison: To act as the link between management and the local teamfor HRrelated matters, including questions or concerns regarding compensation, benefits, andworking conditions.
General Management/ Administration
- Team meetings: To organize and lead regular team meetings to ensure alignment, follow-up on priorities, and coordination across local activities.
- Office management: To ensure the proper use, maintenance, and day-to-day functioning of the local office.
- Local administration: To ensure that all local administrative, legal, and companyrelated obligations are properly followed up and completed in a timely manner.
- Management reporting: To report regularly to management on local activities, risks, challenges, priorities, and required decisions.
- Team meetings: To organize and lead regular team meetings to ensure alignment, follow-up on priorities, and coordination across local activities.
Competences
- Fluent in French and English language skills
- Higher education or equivalent relevant experience
- Pharmaceutical sector experience is desirable
