Job Description

Direct Aid is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization established in Kuwait in 1981 and operating in more than 30 countries across Africa. The organization works to alleviate poverty, disease, and illiteracy, with a strong focus on food security, education, health, and social development.

Direct Aid–Rwanda Office intends to purchase and distribute Cows for slaughter and distribute to vulnerable populations in Rwanda. The organization hereby invites eligible, experienced, and qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the General Terms and Conditions of Purchase outlined below.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Cow condition:
  1. Priority males or non-pregnant females alive. 
  2. Weight: 240 KG with good health condition.
  3. Not Castrated or any other serious Healthy Problem.
  4. Not Dehorned

3. DELIVERY

Delivery and Handover points shall be at Butchers ie Nyabugogo, Kabuga and any other butchers around the country.

NB. Interested bidders must submit the following mandatory documents. Failure to submit any of the documents listed below shall result in automatic disqualification:

  • Valid Business License
  • VAT Registration Certificate
  • Tax Clearance Certificate for the most recent tax period.
  • Company Profile clearly indicates:
    • Company address and official contact details
  • Proof of Relevant Experience, including:
    • Demonstrated experience supplying non-profit, humanitarian, or international organizations.
    • Successful completion of at least two (2) similar contracts within the last three (3) years, A copy of those contracts must be attached.
    • Documentary evidence in the form of signed contracts, purchase orders, delivery certificates, or reference letters from previous clients.

3. BID SUBMISSION

  • Submission Deadline: 21st April 2026 at 04:00 PM
  • Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and deposited in the locked tender box located at:
    Direct Aid Rwanda Head Office, Kiyovu, KN 16/13

4. BID OPENING

  • Bids will be open on 22nd April 2026 at 11:00 AM
  • Interested bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to attend.

5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

For further clarification, interested bidders may visit the Direct Aid Rwanda Office.

A contract will be designed in accordance with Direct-Aid Terms and Conditions.

Direct Aid Rwanda Office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, without incurring any obligation to the bidders.
