He/ she must be registered with the institution of Engineers Rwanda proven by a valid practicing certificate.
Responsibilities or Duties
- Manage all aspects of a construction project from start to finish, including overseeing schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Review and create construction plans and technical documents, ensuring designs are feasible.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Perform cost estimates and monitor expenses to keep the project within budget.
- Develop and communicate a viable design concept based on client objectives.
- Create schematic designs through iterative evaluation processes.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate project documentation and obtain agreement from clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and requirements
- Deep understanding of government policies implementation
- Deep understanding of construction material engineering
- Good understanding of construction material laboratory management
- High analytical skills
- Coordination, planning and organizational skills
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Leadership skills
- Computer literacy (CAD, Ms Projeet Word, Excel & Power Point)
- Interpersonal skills
- Understanding of national, regional and international contexts of construction and maintenance quality assurance
- Effective communication skills
- Administrative skills
- Time management skills
- Team working skills
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French. Knowledge of all is an advantage
